| Yakutat is a small fishing village (pop. ~750) located on the Gulf Coast of Alaska. Surrounded by the Saint Elias Mountain Range and nestled along the remote coast, Yakutat is a small fishing village (Population ~750) located on the Gulf Coast of Alaska. With no roads in or out, Yakutat remains "Wild and Pristine". Yakutat is noted for its remote wilderness and pure fishing waters with the only protected inland bays and coves along hundreds of miles of open coastline, and an extremely productive eighteen-mile-wide reef moraine reef stretching across the mouth of Yakutat Bay. The reef was created as a result of the seaward advance of the Hubbard Glacier hundreds of years ago. Yakutat Bay's nutrient-rich waters support abundant Wild seafood species.
